রুল ১: 'Along with', 'Together with', 'As well as' এর নিয়ম

কোনো বাক্যে দুটি Subject যদি as well as, along with, together with, with, accompanied by, in addition to দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকে, তবে Verb সর্বদা প্রথম Subject অনুযায়ী নির্ধারিত হয়।

  • Example: The Chairman, along with his committee members, has (not have) arrived.

রুল ২: 'Neither...nor', 'Either...or', 'Not only...but also' এর নিয়ম

এই সংযোজকগুলো থাকলে Verb সর্বদা নিকটবর্তী Subject (দ্বিতীয় Subject) অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তিত হয়।

  • Example: Neither the teacher nor the students were present in the auditorium.

রুল ৩: 'A number of' বনাম 'The number of'

  • A number of + Plural Noun + Plural Verb: A number of boys are playing in the field.
  • The number of + Plural Noun + Singular Verb: The number of applicants is increasing rapidly.

রুল ৪: Conditionals এর ৩টি কাঠামোগত নিয়ম

  1. ১First Conditional: If + Present Indefinite \to Future Indefinite (If it rains, we will cancel the meeting).
  2. ২Second Conditional: If + Past Indefinite \to Subject + would/could + V_1 (If I knew his address, I would send him an invitation).
  3. ৩Third Conditional: If + Past Perfect \to Subject + would have + V_3 (If you had studied harder, you would have passed the test).

রুল ৫: Subjunctive Mood

বাক্যে demand, suggest, insist, recommend, require, order ইত্যাদি থাকলে 'that' ক্লজে Subject এর পর সর্বদা Verb এর Base Form (V_1) বসে (কোনো 's/es' বা 'ed' যুক্ত হয় না)।

  • Example: The doctor recommended that the patient take (not takes) rest.
