মনে রাখার মতো তথ্য
There are eight parts of speech in English: Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, Adverb, Preposition, Conjunction, and Interjection.
Nouns are naming words; regular plurals take '-s', '-es' (after s, x, ch), or '-ies' (after consonant + y).
Irregular plurals include man -> men, child -> children, tooth -> teeth, mouse -> mice, goose -> geese.
Countable nouns can be numbered individually, whereas uncountable nouns require measure words (a bar of soap, a bottle of oil).
Pronouns replace nouns; they have Subject form (they), Object form (them), and Possessive form (their).
Adjectives modify nouns and have three degrees of comparison: positive (rich), comparative (richer), and superlative (richest).
Verbs are divided into state verbs (am, is, are) and action verbs (teach, spend, buy).
Regular verbs take '-d' or '-ed' in past forms, whereas irregular verbs change internal structure (write -> wrote -> written).
Primary auxiliaries (do/does/did, be, have) help construct tenses, questions, and negative statements.
Modals (can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, ought to) take a bare infinitive without 'to' and never take '-s/es'.
'Cannot' must always be written as a single combined word.
Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs, indicating time, place, manner, or frequency.
Adverbs of frequency (always, often, never, hardly) are typically placed between subject and verb.
Prepositions precede nouns to express time (at 3 o'clock, on 9 Feb, in 1999), place, or relative motion.
Conjunctions link words, phrases, or clauses (and, but, yet, so, because).
Interjections express sudden emotions (Alas!, Wow!, Hurrah!, Ugh!) and are followed by an exclamation mark (!).
